Lets Talk 2016 Resolutions

Perhaps one of the things we are all doing this first few weeks of the New Year is making new resolutions. What you would want to achieve this year, what behaviours you feel you have to change and basically do almost everything differently.

Let’s be honest, it never works! If you ask me resolutions are just another reason to be depressed at the end of the year, when you realise you broke almost everything you hoped to do. Maybe you didn’t lose 10 kilos or maybe you are still with the same boyfriend/girlfriend or maybe you still do the same old sh*t of last year.

Truth is, we are not all perfect. We have flaws, we have bumps, we have ridges and shortcomings and we just can’t do everything right. However, it’s not wrong to just give it a try. Rome, they say, was not built in a day (well obviously cause they didn’t have all this fancy new technology). Anyway, point is that everything takes time. It takes time to work out, it takes time to draft, and it takes time to practise and time to turn it into a habitual act.

So, still setting your resolutions? Then the first thing you should do is make SMART goals. SMART standing for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time bound. I’ll let you work that one out for yourself.

This year resolve to do what makes you awesome. That one thing that makes you unique and makes you stand out from the crowd. If you want to be successful this year then remember that setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into visible. One trick of all successful people, they maintain positive focus in life n matter what is going on around them. Remember that when it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don’t adjust the goals, adjust the action steps.

Oh, this year resolve to rock! Have fun, make memories, pick yourself up when you fall, let the skies be the lower limit and basically make 2016 count. And feel free to call 1190 for anything you need. Happy New Year Mates Smile!!!
