A person is attracted physically, romantically and emotionally to someone of the opposite sex called heterosexual. 'Hetero' means 'another' in Greek. Therefore, if you identify as a man, you are attracted to women. Alternatively, if you identify as a woman, you are attracted to men. So, for example, a male is attracted to a female, and a female is attracted to a male. Heterosexuality is also referred to as being straight.
