Drinks or anesthetic lubes. Can they help prevent pain?

Anything that numbs you will just complicate the sexual act, even if it seems to be helping

Having a few drinks in the hope that alcohol will ease the pain of anal sex is not a smart move.

When having anal sex, you want to be able to guide your partner and communicate clearly about your sensations

If you are not sober, communication is going to be much more difficult

Similarly, using a lubricant containing mild anesthetic is not a great choice. 

Yes, the anesthetic might numb you to the pain, but you shouldn’t consider that helpful.

If you don’t feel pain, you won’t immediately realize if something is going wrong, so you won’t try to correct any mistakes 

Don’t avoid the pain of anal sex by numbing yourself; avoid pain by having anal sex properly!
