The word transgender describes people whose gender identity (internal sense of being male, female, or something else) differs from their biological sex.

A transgender person either has male organs but identifies emotionally as a woman (or something other than a man) or has female sexual organs but identifies emotionally as a man (or something different from a woman).

Sometimes people refer transgender person as a woman trapped in the body of a man or a man trapped in a woman's body.

However, it is essential to remember that transgender people are worthy of love, safety, and respect.
