Your viral load will be checked once a year and more often if you present symptoms
If there is more HIV in your blood, then we call it high viral load or detectable viral load and the risk of transmitting HIV is very high.
If there is low HIV in your blood, then we call it low viral load or undetectable viral load and the risk of transmitting HIV is very low
Taking your treatment as prescribed by your healthcare provider can help you keep your viral load low and keep you healthy.
If you don’t take your treatment as prescribed by your health care provider, your viral load will increase and put your health at risk.
