FIGHTING BODY ODOUR
Let’s face it. Puberty is not a phase in life where we smell our freshest.
Due to hormones and changes in the body, you can smell more during puberty. Your armpits or genital area may smell more due to sweat or poor hygiene. This is a normal part of puberty, so no need to feel ashamed.
No worries. Here are things you can do to fight off body odor:
- Practice good hygiene by regular bathing
- Don’t want smelly armpits? Freshen them up in the morning or shower and use deodorant.
- Wear clean clothes, socks, and underwear each day to help you feel clean.
- Sweat a lot? Wearing cotton clothes or clothes made from other natural materials will help absorb sweat better and be less smelly.
- Change your bedsheets every week and wash them to kill bacteria and other germs.
- Coming home from work or school? Take your clothes and shoes off and let them air.
- If body odor becomes a major problem for you, talk with your doctor.
