My partner pressures me to take erotic pictures. Is this abuse
Pressuring you to take erotic pictures of yourself when you clearly not comfortable doing it is an unhealthy behavior, but whether it constitutes abuse depends on the type and degree of pressure your partner is putting on you.
If your partner is persistently requesting that you take erotic pictures, even after you say no, this constitutes harassment but cannot be considered abuse.
On the other hand, if your partner is using extreme verbal pressure or is blackmailing or threatening you, then you are definitely being abused.
In a healthy relationship, partners respect each other’s limits and don’t force each other to do things they don’t feel comfortable doing.
Also, texting sexual pictures or messages is a dangerous business
First of all, it might be illegal. If the subject of the erotic picture is a minor or under the age of 18 the photo is considered child pornography.
The person who sends the pictures as well as the person in the picture can be charged with circulating child pornography.
The person who receives and stores the picture can be charged with possession of child pornography even if he or she didn’t as for the photos
Second, sending an intimate picture of yourself means running the risk that the picture will be circulated.
Today you are sending that picture with your partner but what about tomorrow? What if you break up with your partner on bad terms?
What do you think is going to happen to that picture? What if a friend of your partner finds it? The risk is simply too high.
